- Health Summary
  Information entered by a practitioner during a consult is added to a patient's Health Summary.

  Helix uses the MDref medications database provided by AusDI.
- Immunisations
  Before you administer an immunisation to a patient, check the immunisations that have already been administered on the AIR and the immunisations due.
  - Record a Scheduled Immunisation
    Record an immunisation that was scheduled for a patient in their patient record.
  - Record an Ad-hoc Immunisation
    After an unscheduled vaccine has been administered, it must be recorded in Helix.
  - Select an Alternative Vaccine
    Select one of a list of alternative vaccines that are available for an immunisation.

      Define which diseases are managed by your practice, and which vaccines you have available to administer to combat each disease you select.

        After you have defined diseases and vaccines, you can create an immunisation schedule.

        Practitioners can add or set a rule for each immunisation schedule such as age range, recurring, ATSI and so on.
      - Edit a Schedule
        If required you can change the name, status, and start date of an immunisation schedule and add notes.
      - Activate a Schedule
        A practice can have multiple immunisation schedules but only one schedule at a time can be active and in use practice-wide.
      - Clone a Schedule
        Once an immunisation schedule has become active, it cannot be edited. To edit a schedule, instead clone it, and edit the clone. This may be necessary if Federal or State changes to the schedule require it.
  - Australian Immunisation Register
    Immunisations recorded in Helix are automatically uploaded to the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR).
- Allergies
  A patient's allergies can be added to their record.
- Chronic Disease Management
  Use the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) feature to specify care plans, cycle of care for asthma or diabetes, and GP Mental Health Treatment Plans.
- History & Examinations
  Record details of a patient's clinical history in the History section. Record details of today's examination of a patient in the Examination section.
- Measurements and Assessments
  Record metabolic, pathology and ECG measurements and other assessments in the patient's record as required.
- Recalls
  A Recall is a type of flag recorded against a patient's record that informs practitioners and practice staff of when the patient is due to return to the practice.
- Nursing Requests
  During a consult, add a request for a nurse to complete a nursing action.
- Obstetrics
  Record obstetrics information on the Obstetrics panel.
- Investigations
  Investigations can be requested by a practitioner from within a patient's clinical record.
- Tasks
  The tasks module allows users to send messages (tasks) to other users throughout the medical centre.
- My Health Record
  Securely upload a patient's health data to their My Health Record.

If required you can change the name, status, and start date of an immunisation schedule and add notes.

About this task

Update the schedule details from the Manage Schedule table.

Note:

This does not include managing a schedule's rules. For more information about managing a schedule's rules, see Manage a Schedule's Rules.
You cannot edit an active schedule. If you need to make changes to an active schedule. First clone a schedule, make changes to the clone, and then activate the clone. For more information, see Clone a Schedule.

Procedure

To edit an immunisations schedule:

Select user > Settings.
In the Settings window, select Clinical > Immunisations.
In the Immunisation Schedule window, select the Manage Schedule tab.
For the schedule you want to edit, click Edit. In edit mode, you can:

You cannot edit an active schedule.
- Modify its name.
- Activate the schedule. For more information, see Activate a Schedule.
- Modify the start date when an active schedule becomes the current schedule across Helix.
- Modify any associated notes.
Click Save.

Results

The changes are updated in the schedule management table for the schedule.
