Use Helix to record your patients' medical details and consultations.
- Health Summary
  Information entered by a practitioner during a consult is added to a patient's Health Summary.
- Consultations
  Record details of a clinical consultation in the Consult panel of the patient's record.
- Patient Timeline
  A summary of the patient's clinical history is displayed in the Patient Timeline.
- Medications
  Helix uses the MDref medications database provided by AusDI.
- Immunisations
  Before you administer an immunisation to a patient, check the immunisations that have already been administered on the AIR and the immunisations due.
- Allergies
  A patient's allergies can be added to their record.

  Use the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) feature to specify care plans, cycle of care for asthma or diabetes, and GP Mental Health Treatment Plans.
  - Care Plans
    Use the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) feature to create a care plan for your patients.
  - Care Plans in the Timeline
    When you exit a consult, all care plans, referral letters, and EDC forms are removed from the Actions section, and added to a new consult entry in the patient's Timeline.
  - Cycle of Care
    Use the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) feature to define the cycle of care for patients with diabetes or asthma.
  - GP Mental Health Treatment Plan
    Use the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) feature to add a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan for patients.
- History & Examinations
  Record details of a patient's clinical history in the History section. Record details of today's examination of a patient in the Examination section.
- Measurements and Assessments
  Record metabolic, pathology and ECG measurements and other assessments in the patient's record as required.
- Recalls
  A Recall is a type of flag recorded against a patient's record that informs practitioners and practice staff of when the patient is due to return to the practice.
- Nursing Requests
  During a consult, add a request for a nurse to complete a nursing action.
- Obstetrics
  Record obstetrics information on the Obstetrics panel.
- Investigations
  Investigations can be requested by a practitioner from within a patient's clinical record.
- Tasks
  The tasks module allows users to send messages (tasks) to other users throughout the medical centre.
- My Health Record
  Securely upload a patient's health data to their My Health Record.

Existing care plan templates in CDM and General Practitioner Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP) templates are available in the Letter Writer. You can create the required care plan from the Letter Writer icon

About this task

Create and manage patient's care plans in the CDM panel.

Procedure

To access the CDM panel:

From the Patient Search or Patient Queue, select a patient and click Consult.
In the Consult panel, select More > CDM.

Results

A set of care plan templates are displayed in the CDM section.
