- Health Summary
  Information entered by a practitioner during a consult is added to a patient's Health Summary.
- Consultations
  Record details of a clinical consultation in the Consult panel of the patient's record.
- Patient Timeline
  A summary of the patient's clinical history is displayed in the Patient Timeline.
- Medications
  Helix uses the MDref medications database provided by AusDI.

    View a summary of current and past medications for the patient in their Health Summary.
  - Add Medication History
    Add current medications to a patient's Health Summary that your patient is taking but which were prescribed elsewhere, such as in hospital or at another service.

    Helix provides prescribing decision support including condition and drug allergy or adverse reaction alerts.

  - Electronic Transfer of Prescriptions

- Immunisations

  Use the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) feature to specify care plans, cycle of care for asthma or diabetes, and GP Mental Health Treatment Plans.
- History & Examinations
  Record details of a patient's clinical history in the History section. Record details of today's examination of a patient in the Examination section.
- Measurements and Assessments
  Record metabolic, pathology and ECG measurements and other assessments in the patient's record as required.
- Recalls
  A Recall is a type of flag recorded against a patient's record that informs practitioners and practice staff of when the patient is due to return to the practice.
- Nursing Requests
  During a consult, add a request for a nurse to complete a nursing action.
- Obstetrics
  Record obstetrics information on the Obstetrics panel.
- Investigations
  Investigations can be requested by a practitioner from within a patient's clinical record.
- Tasks
  The tasks module allows users to send messages (tasks) to other users throughout the medical centre.
- My Health Record
  Securely upload a patient's health data to their My Health Record.

Medications in the Health Summary

View a summary of current and past medications for the patient in their Health Summary icon Health Summary.

If the patient does not take any medications, and none have ever been recorded, to note this, click Not taking any medications..

The note and date are added to the Medication section.
Hover the mouse over a current medication:
- To represcribe that medication (Quick Prescribe).
- To edit or cease a medication. For more information, see Edit Medications or Cease Medications.
To display medications that the patient was previously prescribed but which have been ceased, click Ceased.
Medications are sorted chronologically by default, with the most recent listed first. To sort medications by name, click the Name column header.
The duration of the medication is indicated with the Short-term symbol for once-off medications and left blank for regular medications.
Hover your mouse over the last script date to display quantity and repeat details about that script.
