- User Management
  Everyone who needs to access Helix should be added as a user and assigned to a role. Permissions to access various parts of Helix are assigned to roles. The permissions assigned determine what each user can access in Helix.
- Centre Settings
  Information about each centre is managed in Centre Settings. Where you can add, edit, or clone the centres, and view the inactive centres.
- Immunisation Schedule Management
  Create a new immunisation schedule, edit the schedule and activate it.
  - Create a Schedule
    After you have defined diseases and vaccines, you can create an immunisation schedule.
  - Manage a Schedule's Rules
    Practitioners can add or set a rule for each immunisation schedule such as age range, recurring, ATSI and so on.
  - Edit a Schedule
    If required you can change the name, status, and start date of an immunisation schedule and add notes.
  - Activate a Schedule
    A practice can have multiple immunisation schedules but only one schedule at a time can be active and in use practice-wide.
  - Clone a Schedule
    Once an immunisation schedule has become active, it cannot be edited. To edit a schedule, instead clone it, and edit the clone. This may be necessary if Federal or State changes to the schedule require it.
- Template Management
  All templates used in the Letter Writer are managed from the Template Management system.
- Preferences
  Enable ePrescribing, RTPM and set your display preferences.
- Abbreviations
  Abbreviations are essentially frequently used text inserted into a patient's consult using keystrokes.
- Certificates
  PKI certificates are required by many businesses for maintaining access to digital health tools including electronic prescribing and My Health Record.
- Active Directory User Management
  The Active Directory User Management page allows you to create new users in Helix, or assign access to existing users.
- Audits
  Use the Audit log to check user access, reauthentication, and any changes made to your patient's personal records.

After you have defined diseases and vaccines, you can create an immunisation schedule.

About this task

Create an immunisation schedule only after you have configured its associated diseases and vaccines.

Procedure

To create an immunisation schedule:

Select user > Settings.
In the Settings window, select Clinical > Immunisations.
In the Immunisation Schedule window, select the Manage Schedule tab.
To add an immunisation schedule:
1. In the Schedule Name field, enter the name of the schedule.
2. In the Start Date calendar, select today or later, if known.
  - The start date is the date when an active schedule becomes the current schedule across Helix. When you create a schedule, it is inactive , and it remains inactive until you activate it manually. Inactive schedules are not influenced by the start date you set here.
  - A start date is not required when you first create the new schedule, but it is required before you can activate it. You can edit the schedule later in order to record this date. For more information, see Edit a Schedule.
3. In the Notes field, enter further information about the schedule, if required.
Click Add.

Results

A new schedule is created with an Inactive status.
