User Management
Everyone who needs to access Helix should be added as a user and assigned to a role. Permissions to access various parts of Helix are assigned to roles. The permissions assigned determine what each user can access in Helix.
Users
First, add a user to Helix. A user's user groups, permissions and licence level define the features and functions to which a user or members of a group have access.
Search for Users
In long lists of users, search for the users you need to work with.

- User Management

    - Add a User
      Add anyone who needs to access Helix as a user.
    - Edit a User
      If required, you can edit a users account, centre and work area information.
    - Search for Users
      In long lists of users, search for the users you need to work with.
  - Helix Permissions
    Helix has a predefined set of permissions that you can apply to individual users or all members in a group.
- Centre Settings
  Manage your centre's settings and associated details such as adding a new centre, updating demographics details, billing information, work areas and other relevant details.
- Immunisation Schedule Management
  Create a new immunisation schedule, edit the schedule and activate it.
- Template Management
  All templates used in the Letter Writer are managed from the Template Management system.
- Preferences
  Enable ePrescribing, RTPM and set your display preferences.
- Abbreviations
  Abbreviations are essentially frequently used text inserted into a patient's consult using keystrokes.
- Certificates
  PKI certificates are required by many businesses for maintaining access to digital health tools including electronic prescribing and My Health Record.
- Audits
  Use the Audit log to check user access, reauthentication, and any changes made to your patient's personal records.

Search for Users

In long lists of users, search for the users you need to work with.

Procedure

To search for a user:

Select user > Settings.
In the Settings window, select Users > Account List. The User list window is displayed.
In the Search field, enter a name, user name, user code, email address, role, centre, or state. The list is filtered dynamically, as you type.
Tip:
Typically only active users are displayed. To include inactive user accounts that would not normally show in the results, from the Status list, select Include Inactive.

For example:
- Searching by a user's name: name search example
- Searching by a user's username
- Searching by a user's email address
Tip:
To sort any column alphabetically, click on the column name. Navigate to different pages of results using the navigation buttons at the bottom of the window.
