Reset a Batch - Unlock Batch

Helix informs users of claim errors which would prevent the claim from being transmitted to Services Australia.

About this task

When a batch is created Helix checks for potential problems and displays an error. The Medicare claims can still be batched but cannot be transmitted. You can unbatch the claim that has errors, rectify the error, and transmit the remaining batched claims to Services Australia.

Procedure

To reset a batch:
  1. Select Claiming, Banking, and Payments iconClaiming, Banking, and Payments > Batch from the menu.

  2. From the Status list, select Transmitted.
  3. Expand the claim with an Error - iconError message.

    To view an error message, hover your mouse over an Error - iconError.
  4. On the problematic batch item, click Unlock batch.
    The problematic batch item returns to the Unbatched section.
  5. From the Status list, select Unbatched.
  6. Expand the claim ID which you want to fix and select the claim.
  7. You are redirected to the Visit panel.
  8. To remove the item not accepted by Services Australia, click Delete IconDelete and then click Issue.

  9. On the problematic batch item, click Mark as fixed.

Results

After you have unlocked the problematic batch, batch it again and then transmit to Services Australia. For more information about transmitting a claim, see Transmit a Batch.
