PIP QI Reporting
The Practice Improvement Program Quality Improvement (PIP QI) reports include the latest Department of Health changes based on specifications documents and data extract file requirements issued on the 28th August 2020.
Generate the PIP QI Report
Generate and download a PIP eligible data set from Reports.

Finance

- Record a Visit
  Create a visit for a patient, add the patient to the patient queue, and initiate the billing process for all types of visits. Alternatively for previous consults, create a visit and bill the patient.
- Patient Claims
  For private billing, transmit patient claims to Medicare so that patients can receive a rebate from Medicare as part of the billing process.
- Medicare Bulk Bill
  For eligible patients, bulk bill the cost of the consult directly to Medicare, using Medicare Australia's online claiming.
- Workers Compensation
  Process Workers' Compensation claims using Helix
- Invoices
  If required, adjust any visit details for a patient's private invoice after it has been issued.
- Receipts
  When payment has been received from an account holder or Services Australia, receipting can be performed for all invoices.
- Transaction History
  View the transaction history for individual patients or account holders, refunds and write-off summaries.
- Banking
  Use the Bank panel to view deposited items and balance your banking records.
- Financial Reports
  Helix provides these reports on the Financial Reports tab.

Generate the PIP QI Report

Generate and download a PIP eligible data set from Reports.

Procedure

To generate and download a PIP QI report:

To open the Reports panel, select Reports > Financial Reports.
From the Report name list, select PIP QI under the General section.

The PIP QI report is displayed. For example, the report has been generated and is ready to download.
To generate a report, click Request JSON, Excel & PDF. You will be prompted to confirm.
- Your report request is added to a queue. It may take some time before your report is generated, during which you can continue to work in Helix.
- When Helix begins generating the report, you will be notified as GENERATING.
Once the report is generated and ready to download, click READY TO DOWNLOAD.

Results

The report is downloaded to your computer. Check your browser for your local download location. The report file format is Helix-PIPQI-YYYY-MM-DD.zip.
