The Active Directory User Management page allows you to create new users in Helix, or assign access to existing users.

- User Management
  Everyone who needs to access Helix should be added as a user and assigned to a role. Permissions to access various parts of Helix are assigned to roles. The permissions assigned determine what each user can access in Helix.
- Centre Settings
  Information about each centre is managed in Centre Settings. Where you can add, edit, or clone the centres, and view the inactive centres.
- Immunisation Schedule Management
  Create a new immunisation schedule, edit the schedule and activate it.
- Template Management
  All templates used in the Letter Writer are managed from the Template Management system.
- Preferences
  Enable ePrescribing, RTPM and set your display preferences.
- Abbreviations
  Abbreviations are essentially frequently used text inserted into a patient's consult using keystrokes.
- Certificates
  PKI certificates are required by many businesses for maintaining access to digital health tools including electronic prescribing and My Health Record.

  The Active Directory User Management page allows you to create new users in Helix, or assign access to existing users.

The Active Directory User Management page allows you to create new users in Helix, or assign access to existing users.

About this task

Add a required username in the Active Directory User Management section from Settings menu.

Procedure

To add a user:

Select user > Settings.
Select Users > Active Directory User Management.
In the Active Directory User Management window, Search for Active Directory user field, enter the username you want to search for, and then click Search.
From the list, select the user you want to add to the system.
- You will be notified if the user already exists in the system. If you want to remove their association with Active Directory, click Unassign.
- If a similar user name is found in the system, a message is displayed. You can choose whether to link this user to the Active Directory identity or Cancel.
