Deposit cheques and cash

Record that balanced items were deposited into your bank account.

About this task

Balanced items are ordered from newest to oldest. First, deposit the oldest balanced items in the Balanced tab.

Procedure

To deposit the balance items:
  1. Check the values of the cash and text against the actual cash and cheques held at the centre for that day.
  2. On the Balanced tab, expand the date and centre.

  3. If the amount is correct, select the associated check box.
    Tip:
    To view the payment type for the required item, hover your mouse over the payment icon. For more information, see Payment types.
  4. Click Deposit.
  5. In the Create Deposit confirmation window, enter your credential details:

    1. In the Deposit ID field, enter the deposit ID.
    2. In the User Signoff section, enter your username and password.
    3. In the Witness Signoff section, enter the witness user's username and password and use a domain account.
  6. Click Confirm.

Results

Balanced items are moved to the Deposited list. The Deposited list displays all deposited payments made for the selected period. They are listed by date, centre, role, patient and payment type.
